The scheduler I have is
THIS one, Kmeat; Splinterware System Scheduler v3.53
I appreciate you're all busy just now, I was just wondering (without any urgency!) if anyone had any thoughts or recommendations...
To anyone interested:
I have found a way of closing Streamer by:
1) Setting Scheduler to close all other active programs.
2)Opening Windows Task Manager, then sending an 'Enter' keypress which simultaneously minimises Task manager and Maximises Streamer.
(NB: This only works if Streamer is top of the list on the task manager 'applications' tab, hence closing all other programs first, or else the 'Enter' key press will maximise whatever is at the top of the list.)
3)Specify a delay of a few seconds (Scheduler lets you do this), then have it send an 'ALT+F4' keypress which will close Streamer.
I set System Scheduler to 'manage' my Broadcasting for today, and it DID start Streamer and Winamp at the appropriate times, but my criticism would be that although key presses can be specified, they do seem a little unreliable for enabling the 'Shuffle' mode in Winamp.
I am guessing this is mainly because they only apply to the active window at the time- I have tried setting an event, for example, 1 minute before the important event (For example, running a particular playlist etc) to send the relevant keypresses to maximise the window ('Window' key plus letter M), but it does not always seem to work...
I suppose I will have to overcome my techno-fear and download a proper tool for Winamp...
Will keep you all posted!
