Here's a good "How-To" on using the NSVcap GUI.
If you're using NSVcap with Streamer don't worry about installing and configuring the Shoutcast DSP just skip down to the encoder stuff.

There is also now links to both the Nullsoft NSV site and something called NSVGUI on the Streamerp2p.com site. These links appear on the left when the Broadcasting link is selected for display in the main portion of the page.

NSVGUI is a open source adaptation of the NSVenc software written by NullSoft.

NSVGUI 7 beta 2 is pretty good
www.scvi.net/software.htm

Current stable version can be found here
www.scvi.net/gui.htm

Also, ON2 has released a NSV compatible encoding plugin for the latest generation VP6.2 video codec.
This is free to download and use for "non commercial" use. Offers greater video compression and stability at low encoding speeds.

To maximize the audio portion of your stream, you should consider using AAC instead of MP3. AAC offers superior audio clarity and compression at low encoding rates - similiar to Ogg Vorbis.
