W.N.K.R. Broadband.
Broadcasting through streamer at moment, it's running unattended at home, I'm at work different IP.
TCP audio port is 8004.
Global unicast set at 50%.
Running no-ip DUC.

At work put url, http://wnkr.no-ip.org:8004
into winamp at work and it plays.
Put url, http://wnkr.no-ip.org:8005
into winamp and it also plays.

Now the question is, is this normal?
If so how come?
Never noticed it before and only came across it cos I typed the wrong port number in at work.
I don't really care that it does it I'm just curious as to how/why.
BTW running 1.47 release candidate 2.

Dave.

It happens because shoutcast uses 2 ports to connect to a streaming server, one for audio and the other for metadata, so streamer has to listen on 2 ports. Rather than code two seperate incoming message interpreters for the different messages that come in on each port I just use the one.

Thanks for the reply Iain,
I guessed there was a reason just never spotted it before.

Dave.
