Just wondering if there is any specific Reason why in the new version it takes an extremely long time to populate the list, 30 minutes now this copy (MY PRIMARY COPY) has been opne and still only shows 23 stations online....

I know there are more then that going right now.

Well it appears that our hosts appearing with a streamID that they aren't really tuned to has again appeared. :( Glad we got the PING listner count working again before this one reared it's ugly head again. ;)

Does this have anything to do with one or two of my listeners reporting trouble connecting? Like 45 minutes to get my stream going?

(I myself have noticed it taking a bit, say 15 seconds to locate my stream which is on the same LAN.)

And it's not everytime, so I'm not sure... I just told then that the network needed time to work itself out.

OR is it as I just discovered, that my updated version of streamer kept saying it needed a proxy/firewall when I have set up port forwarding... As an experiment, I have locked the detection off and set firewall to 'no'. Could this, as I suspect, make it easier for people to connect to my stream? Seems like i had proxy locked to 'no' before, but can't remember... not something I wrote down.

I know just enough about LANs/NATs?port forwarding to occasionally get lucky.
:D

Thanks,

Kevin

from my own experience, in 1.3.x and 1.40, it worked better without the port forwarding and the "need proxy" on , in streamer. My linksys seemed not to forward UDP correctly. I had a similar issue of people taking a long time to connect, but that stopped when i reverted to "proxy" rather than "forwarding"

Looks like that did it... Now with the proxy off and using the port forwarding, both on my LAN and others reporting very quick connection!

to ammend this OLD post, and to add this Abnormality is still happenning,
it seems that if you click the following buttons "CHAT 1 and LIST"
repeatedly this will encrease a listener count for the station highlighted...

sorry I dropped the ball on this one, and again its still happening.
